The PAF or QAF transducer converts an active or reactive power to proportional frequency output ( W or VAR) or to a pulse output ( Wh or VARh) , with or without analogue output. The main variants are : • Remote metering of Wh+ and Wh- or VARh+ VARh- by relays ( model 2H) or transistors ( model 2T) at 25 to 36, 000 pulses/ h. The power provided by the transistors is sufficient to supply one or two electromechanical pulse counters or a PLC. • Remote measurement of W+ and W- or VAR+ and VAR- by transistors ( model 2T) .
